Save the Date! Music PEI is very pleased to announce our sixth annual buyer’s conference, Showcase PEI 2013 taking place September 23 and 24.

We are excited to open submissions early and get started on making this one the best yet! In addition to the already successful format, we are looking at incorporating new initiatives like more networking opportunities and a Buyer’s Room where artists and delegates can stock the room with promotional material for each to collect.

Buyers are now being recruited from festivals, venues, conferences, agents and promoters from across Canada, USA and the UK. Each artist will have a 20 minute showcase set. Music PEI will provide full backline and professional sound presentation.

We are excited to, not only open this opportunity to Export Ready and Exporting artists, but to continue with the new initiative from 2012 and include showcasing opportunities for up and coming Emerging Bands. Please see below criteria for all three. We welcome your submissions!

It is an online application process. It is short but important to note that the form cannot be saved. It will not time out but if your computer freezes or crashes work will not be saved. We recommend that you review the form prior to starting and build you application in Word (or similar). You may then copy and paste your answers.

You will be asked on the submission form to provide up to five delegates who you would like to see us bring to Showcase PEI. This is a great opportunity and we are looking forward to your feedback.

A complete delegate list will be available prior to the conference for participating artists.

Business meetings between delegates and artists/managers will be arranged during the conference. The primary focus for this initiative will be for artists who have recent recordings. The genres that will be featured are primarily roots/folk and pop/rock. If you do not fit into either of those categories you are still invited to submit, but those will take priority.
