Music PEI is excited to hire the following two positions with Support from Skills PEI:

– MUSIC PEI WEEK (2 POSITIONS) –
WORK EXPERIENCE PROGRAM POSITION CONTRACTS 

Compensation: $650/week for 37.5 hrs/week
Duration: Sept 8th, 2026 – March 18th, 2027 (27 Weeks)
Location: Music PEI Office (115 Richmond Street, Charlottetown)
Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday to Friday, some evenings and weekends may be required
Title: Assistant Event Coordinator – Music PEI Week

ABOUT THE POSITION
The successful applicant will support Music PEI staff with planning the 2026 Music PEI Week. Some of the tasks are event planning logistics, artist coordination, marketing, sponsors care, etc. As required, these positions will also assist with additional administrative duties in the Music PEI office.

An ideal candidate will have a connection to the music industry, be proficient in digital communication, sending and receiving emails, have strong organizational skills, and be familiar with Google Workspace. All applicants will be welcome but a preference will be given to (but not limited to) someone with a background in music or the music business and interested in pursuing a career in music. Music PEI has a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion mandate for all activities including hiring. 

This is an in-office position.

Music PEI Week is the annual celebration of Prince Edward Island’s diverse music industry. This multi-day festival recognizes the remarkable achievements of local artists and professionals with events featuring many Music PEI Award nominees and special guests.

• A Canadian resident
• Currently unemployed
• Currently receiving EI, or EI eligible or had an open EI claim in the previous 36 months
