Music PEI Board of Directors – Nominations 2026
Music PEI is seeking new members to join its Board of Directors. Nominations open Monday, June 15, 2026 and close Friday, July 5, 2026 at 11:59 PM (Atlantic Time).

As the organization enters a new chapter under recently appointed leadership, we are looking for thoughtful, engaged individuals who understand the responsibilities and time commitment of serving on a governance board.
The Music PEI Board is a governance board (not operational) and meets once per month. Directors serve three-year terms and are expected to participate on at least one committee.
If you believe your skills, experience, and perspective can support the continued growth and sustainability of Music PEI, we encourage you to submit a nomination.
We strongly encourage individuals from historically underrepresented and equity-deserving communities to apply.
Current Priority Skill Sets
We are particularly seeking candidates with experience in:
- Non-profit governance and board leadership
- Accounting and financial oversight
- Policy development
- Committee work and organizational governance

- Vice-Chair
- Secretary
- Director-at-Large (2 vacancies)
Nominations
Music PEI members are encouraged to nominate individuals they believe would be strong candidates for the Board. Self-nominations are welcome.
All nominees will be contacted to confirm their interest and consent to proceed through the nomination process.
Election Timeline
- Member Voting Period: July 20 – August 2nd, 2026
- Successful candidates will be contacted in advance of the AGM
- Results Announced: August 19, 2026 at the Annual General Meeting
Eligibility Requirements
To be elected/appointed, candidates must:
- Be a Music PEI member in good standing
(membership can be obtained after confirmation) - Support the mission, vision, and work of Music PEI
- Understand and accept the fiduciary responsibilities of board service
- Have a clear understanding of the role of a board member
- Be familiar with the organization’s Bylaws & Strategic Plan
