Music PEI is the music industry association for the province of Prince Edward Island. We are currently hiring multiple positions with staggered start times over the next 6 months. 2 will focus on Showcase PEI taking place September 19th to 21st, two will work primarily on Music PEI Week taking place March 1st to 5th, 1 will work on CFMA which runs March 31st to April 2nd and 2 will focus on the Canadian Song Conference which takes place May 16th to 19th.

Team Leader
Contract Length: August 15th, 2022 – June 16th, 2023 (44 weeks)
Compensation: $20/hr for 37.5hr/week
Location: Music PEI Office (115 Richmond Street, Charlottetown, PE)

The Music PEI Team Leader will provide support and guidance to the Skills employees hired to execute various Music PEI events and projects over the 2022/2023 year. The ideal candidate for this position is available for the full 44 weeks, however, Music PEI will consider splitting this position into two 22-week-long contracts depending on the applicant’s availability.Previous experience in event management/ coordination and team management is an asset. Showcase PEI Contract (2 Positions Open)
Contract Length: August 15th, 2022 – January 19th, 2023 (22 weeks)
Compensation: up to $595/week
Location: Music PEI Office (115 Richmond Street, Charlottetown, PE)

Music PEI is hiring 2 positions to assist with the delivery of Showcase PEI, which takes place from September 19th – 21st, 2022. Successful applicants will support Music PEI staff with event planning logistics, delegate coordination, book travel/ accommodations, work alongside the production team to coordinate multiple event concerts, collect information from artists, communicate soundcheck schedules, etc.The ideal candidates will have a connection to the music industry, be proficient in digital communication, sending and receiving emails, have strong organizational skills, be familiar with Google Workspace, and be available to work some evenings and weekends.

These positions are funded by Skills PEI through the Work Experience PEI Program and applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements (this does not include the Team Leader).Eligibility requirements:

  • You must be legally authorized to work in Canada (Canadian citizen or permanent resident);
  • You must have a current claim for Employment Insurance benefits; or
  • You must have a previous EI claim whose benefit period ended within the previous 60 months
