Music PEI is now accepting requests for proposals for publicity services for Credit Union May Run Music Festival and Canadian Song Conference. (Taking place May 11th -17th)

The deadline to submit is Friday February 6th, 2015 (5:00pm AST)

All proposals must include a brief summary of the applicants work history (including examples), as well as an up to date resume and cover letter. Applicants must also include a total price (including HST) for their services.

Music PEI Week is an annual celebration of the achievements of the provinces best musicians and songwriters. Consisting of numerous showcase opportunities, industry discussions, keynote speeches, and a culminating awards gala, Music PEI Week has become a staple event on the calendars of Island musicians and music lovers alike.

Given the past success of the event, this year the provincial government will provide significant funding in the expansion and regional marketing for the May Run Music Festival and Canadian Song Conference. As a result, the event will see a complete re-branding, as well as an additional “conference component”. The event will include a 4-day music conference followed by a 4-day music festival. The festival will include 6 signature concerts and over 16 showcase stages.

The focus for this project is to work directly with the Music PEI event staff to draw an audience of between 700 – 1000 people from Nova Scotia and New Brunswick to Credit Union Music PEI Week 2015, while promoting some of the artists that will be performing at the event. The focus should be on regional marketing and promotion within the Maritime Provinces. Music PEI has a significant marketing budget specifically for NS & NB including traditional and new media.

Applicants are asked to submit their proposals describing how they might achieve this goal, as well as a detailed cost breakdown and contingency plan in case objectives are not met.
