Music PEI is very happy to announce an exciting new partnership with Marcato Digital Solutions. This partnership provides significant benefits to artists submitting for Metro Credit Union Music PEI Week 2012 awards and showcases. Thanks to Marcato Festival, web-based festival management software developed in Atlantic Canada, the submission process will be easier than ever before as submissions will be completed online for the first time in Music PEI’s history. The technology provided by Marcato helps artists eliminate time consuming paper work and reduce expenses related to submitting multiple CDs.

“This is a great positive step forward for Music PEI and our members. It will reduce the time required to submit for awards, reduce the number of physical CDs (and cost) for those artists submitting in multiple recording categories and reduce our carbon footprint which benefits everyone” said Music PEI Executive Director Rob Oakie.

Marcato CEO Darren Gallop said, “We’re excited to add Music PEI to the growing list of Festivals & Conferences around the world powered by Marcato and welcome them to the future of Festival Management. Music PEI plays a fundamental role in advancing the careers of Island musicians and we’re proud to help make that easier for everyone involved.”
