ATTENTION Prince Edward Island Producers
PEI Music Week 2009, to be held in Charlottetown and Summerside, January 14th till the 17th is now tendering for the position of Awards Show Producer.
The successful applicant/company will have the overall responsibility to oversee all production requirements for the Ocean 100/K-Rock 105.5 PEI Music Awards Show Gala with input from the Production Committee Chair, Music PEI Executive Director, (herein defined as Principles) and/or designates.

The following is a list of the responsibilities associated with production of the Awards Show: (may be subject to change)

�Design & choreograph Awards Show to present Music PEI Awards with musical performances interspersed for a varied audience of music industry and general public.
�Define and secure as required pre-production development i.e. Scripts, Graphics, Animation, etc.
�Define Technical and staffing requirements for stage, sound, lights and backline in conjunction with Confederation Center of the Arts Technical Director and the Principles.
�Define volunteer requirements.
�Schedule and Conduct show rehearsals.
�Present show (Max. 2hrs length)
�Work within the approved budget.

Please note that the Music PEI Volunteer base can supply all runners, and non-technical personnel. PEI Music Awards Show Producer must interact with many staff and volunteers within the event structure, and requires someone with excellent multi tasking and communications skills.

Principles will negotiate all final contract(s) with supplier(s).

SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT MUST BE PREPARED TO WORK WITHIN A DEFINED BUDGET AND MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR ONSITE CONSULTATION AS NEEDED PRIOR TO THE EVENT AND DURING THE WEEK of January 17th.

A COMPREHENSIVE WRITTEN REPORT TO THE EVENT CHAIR WILL BE EXPECTED WITHIN ONE MONTH FOLLOWING THE EVENT.

�the total cost of the producer fee including all transportation, accommodation and out-of-pocket costs
�the experience and reputation of the person/company
�references

Tenders must be received at the above address prior to 5 p.m. November 7th, 2008.

Music PEI will acknowledge all tenders at the time of receipt and may contact the company/person for further information to assist in its deliberations. All respondents will be informed of the selection decisions should Music PEI proceed with any one or more of the tenders. Please note that the lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
