After competing in the Greater Toronto Kiwanis Music Festival in his teens for solo violin and winning ten awards, Andrew Melzer completed his education at The Royal Conservatory of Music. He then produced a bilingual pop version of a song called ?Canada? which quickly became a national success, celebrating 100 years of Canada?s Confederation as well as the World?s Fair in Montreal. Mr. Melzer became President of Hit-Bound Music Limited, a record production and music publishing entity, and would go on to working with talented artists in Canada and the U.S.A. such as Pinky Dauvin (Stitch ?n Tyme, Lighthouse), Soma, Everyday People, Debbie Fleming, Dianne Brooks (Count Basie, Bette Midler, Dusty Springfield), Scatman Crothers ( ?The Shining?, ?One Flew Over The Cuckoo?s Nest?), Bobby Rodriguez (Grammy Nominee), The Hot Club Of San Francisco. He negotiated international recording/distribution contracts that saw his recordings released by Warner Bros.Records, United Artists Records, Sparton Records, Attic Records and releases in Canada, U.S.A., Japan, South Africa, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium and Holland. Numerous articles were written about his work in the entertainment industry trade magazines including RPM, Billboard, CashBox, Record World and Variety. One of the recordings he produced earned a Juno Award for the performer as the ?Most Promising New Female Singer?.

With the global emergence of the optical discs (CDs, CD-ROMs, DVDs), an exciting
new opportunity presented itself. Data, music and eventually motion pictures would
migrate to this medium and Mr. Melzer wasted no time in finding his way into this new
industry. Between 1995 and 2003, he founded two companies (Third Wave Media Ltd.
and DVD Wave Inc.) that would not only provide custom optical disc replication to clients, but offered graphic design, printing, packaging and DVD Authoring services as well. Products were made for organizations such as Turner Broadcasting, The World Bank, Twentieth Century Fox Film Corp., Warner Bros. Online, N.A.S.A., Siemens, PBS, NCR Corp., Adobe Systems, Purdue University, Intel, Screenplay Systems, Philips Interactive Media, Virgin Interactive, Federal Aviation Authority, Pitney Bowes, Amtrak, The Hollywood Reporter, NAMM (International Music Marketing Agency), Citicorp, American Express, Hilton Hotels International along with interactive developers, independent record labels and hundreds of self-released music artists.

In 2000, he founded Panda Digital as a record label to release his own productions as well as the physical/digital distribution of quality recordings by independent artists / producers. By the end of 2006, Panda Digital has released forty-four albums in the United States that range from Jazz, Swing, World Music to Children?s recordings. Panda Digital also licenses music to Films, TV, Commercials, Piped-In Music Services and Airlines. In May 2007, Panda Digital licensed a track by an artist from Atlantic Canada, for the worldwide TV campaign of The United Nations Food Program.

Between 1998 and 2003, Mr. Melzer was also a member of the Board of Directors of InterRent International Properties (TSX symbol IIP.UN).
