Credit Union Music PEI Week Rescheduled

Credit Union Music PEI Week, originally scheduled for March 4th to the 7th, had to be rescheduled due to the current COVID-19 health protocols.

“It was a bit depressing getting the news of new cases on PEI and the current circuit breaker, but the team at Music PEI was able to reschedule the entire event to the weekend of March 26th to the 28th.” Said Rob Oakie, Executive Director of Music PEI. “And as a happy result, we are taking over the Delta Prince Edward Convention Centre for the entire weekend and presenting all the shows there.”

Beginning with Friday night, the 26th, nominees in the Diggin Deep Roots and Red Dirt Rock shows will perform simultaneously in 2 separate ballrooms kicking off at 8:00pm.

Saturday afternoon at 1:30pm the SOCAN Songwriter of the Year Concert will feature the nominees for the SOCAN Songwriter of the year award. Saturday evening at 8:00pm, the artists performing in the Sounds For The Soul and Block Party will take the stage.

Sunday afternoon, the Awards Party will start at 1:00pm and the celebrations close off Sunday night with the Festival Finale featuring the top nominees.

Tickets will be on sale Tuesday, March 9th at www.musicpei.com With the change in dates and venues, Music PEI will try to insure those who previously purchased tickets for any of the shows will get top priority to get tickets for the same shows. If you purchased tickets previously please contact Music PEI at [email protected] ASAP to get on a priority list. Go to www.musicpei.com/music-pei-week for full details and ticket links.
