Music PEI is now hiring 2 people to assist delivery of Credit Union Music PEI Week and 2 to assist with the Canadian Song Conference as well as a TEAM Leader.

Credit Union Music PEI Week 2018- January 23rd to 27th 
The event will be a combination of concerts and showcases. Music PEI will present:
-Friday and Saturday night showcases at multiple Charlottetown venues
-Three major concerts
-The festival will conclude with a music awards celebration. 
-This will be the 18th annual edition of the Music PEI Awards. Over 30 awards are presented to celebrate excellence in our music community.

Two positions available:
Start date Dec 3
End date- March 29
Duration 16 weeks
Pay: $547/week

Position #1- Production/Artist Services
o Work with production team to execute multiple concerts and shows
o Coordinate and communicate with nominees and performing artists

Position #2- Marketing/Sponsor Care/Volunteer Coordinator
o Responsible to work with and deliver the Marketing Plan as established by management
o Insure that sponsors receive all the benefits as promised in contracts
o Manage volunteers at events (tickets, merch, seating)

Canadian Song Conference- May 3rd to 7th  
The Canadian Song Conference is a professional development and business development event for PEI’s music industry. This will be the 5th edition as it continues to grow and receive accolades from industry professionals around the world. This year Music PEI will be partnering with ECMA to deliver the conference.  

The conference will include panels and workshops designed to assist and encourage the growth of PEI’s music industry.  The conference focuses on developing multiple revenue streams to create a sustainable career. Delegates will be recruited from around the world to participate as panelists and speakers for workshops. 

The Canadian Songwriter Challenge is a project within the conference and is a collaboration between PEI artists and other artists from across Canada.  

Two positions available:
Start date Jan 7
End date- May 31
Duration 21 weeks
Pay: $547/week

Position #1- Delegate Coordinator
o Work with Executive Director to recruit delegates
o Arrange delegate travel
o Collect delegate data

Position #2- Production Coordinator
o Work with Conference Coordinator to deliver workshops and panels
o Provide production for concert and showcases
o Produce Listening session

Eligibility for all these positions:
This project is funded by Skills PEI and the Work Experience PEI Program. In order to be eligible, applicants must be:
¬ A PEI resident
¬ Currently unemployed
¬ Currently receiving EI, or EI eligible or had an open EI claim in the previous 36 months

An ideal candidate would have some post-secondary education and a connection to the music industry. This is an excellent opportunity that would help enhance knowledge of the music industry and create excellent connections and network opportunities within the music industry.

Team Leader
Music PEI is also seeking a team leader to work with the Work Experience PEI staff and act as mentor and facilitator. The Team Leader must possess and have demonstrated leadership skills, had experience with event coordination and a strong connection or previous work in the music industry.

This position does not require EI eligibility and the salary is EI insurable earnings.

Pay: $19.00/hour
