Old Home Week is back!
Music PEI is once again proud to partner with Old Home Week to present the Best of The Island Showcase stage during Old Home Week. This showcase stage will feature predominantly acoustic based artists presenting original material as much as possible. We encourage new and young performers to submit.
The showcase stage will run two sets, one from 7:00 pm until 8:15 and the second from 8:45 until 10:00 pm. The dates this year are from August 12th until August 21st.
Pay will range depending on solo, duos or bands starting at $150 for a solo. Roots and acoustic music will be preferred but other artists interested in doing unplugged sets will be considered. The stage area is also the food court area and the organisers have asked us to be considerate of the sound level.
Submissions must include a CD (demos accepted) unless you have music available online. This can be either on your own website, myspace or Sonic Bids. You must have a current Music PEI membership to be eligible with a completed profile. Membership fees are:
Student $15
Artist $25
Band $50

Deadline for submissions is June 25th at 5:00 pm.
Submissions will be adjudicated by a jury and notice will be sent to the successful applicants by July 9th.
