Music PEI Announces 2009-2010 Board of Directors
Charlottetown, PE – Music PEI announced its 2009-2010 Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting in Charlottetown, PE on May 5th, 2009.
“We have brought together a talented and passionate group of people from across the province to represent our members, “ says Shannon Pratt, recently elected President of Music PEI. “This group will continue to work hard towards the mandate of promoting and fostering the artists and music industry on the Island.”
The 2009-2010 Music PEI Board of Directors include:

Elections took place in advance of the AGM by the membership of Music PEI from April 6th – 20th, with 10 members of Music PEI putting their name forward for consideration for the 3 available spots.
Music PEI would also like to thank departing Directors Grady Poe and Dave Wigmore. Special thanks to Grady Poe who has been involved with Music PEI for the past 5 years and was an integral part of the team that successfully lobbied government for funding for the music industry on Prince Edward Island.
The Music PEI Awards Week and Conference will take place from January 20th to 24th.
The Music PEI Awards Week and Conference is an annual event organized by Music PEI as a critical part of its mission statement. Music PEI is a non-profit member services organization devoted to advancing careers of Island musicians. Music PEI is actively seeking ways to promote, foster and develop artists and the music industry on PEI. The Association acts as an advocate for the Island music industry and a representative at the national table. Music PEI currently has a diverse membership of over 200that includes musicians, songwriters, music industry professionals and music lovers.
