Pixbylorne is Lorne Miller, an event photographer living and working in PEI and widely covering the local music scene.

For the last seven years Lorne has been fortunate enough to combine two of his passions – live music and photography – by covering more than 100 music events each year. These events include Music PEI Week Showcases and Awards, on and off-Island ECMA's, Contact East, Festival of Small Halls, Charlottetown Jazz & Blues Festival, Funk the Dunk, Dunkstock, Indian River Festival, as well as performances at venues such as The Guild, The Mack, Harmony House, Harbourside Theatre, Victoria Playhouse, Trailside Café, Kings Playhouse, The Confederation Centre of the Arts, Back Alley Soupy Saturdays, The Dunk, The Old Belle River Church, Globe Blues Jam and virtually any and every local club or venue where live music is featured.

His work supporting PEI musicians and events can be seen monthly in The BUZZ and regularly on the websites of The Guild, Indian River Festival, The BUZZ, Music PEI, as well as Saltscapes Magazine. Lorne has been nominated for Music PEI Visual Artist of the Year three times and was the recipient of this honour in 2012 and 2013.

Lorne’s images have been used on Ashley Condon's CD "This Great Compromise", Richard Wood's European release "A Change of Reasons", website and posters, on Meaghan Blanchard's "Chasin' Lonely Again," and he has had the privilege of providing images to a variety of Island artists, including Tim Chaisson, Catherine MacLellan, Meaghan Blanchard, Got Blues, Plain Dirty Blues Band, Chris Field, Katie McGarry, Dan Currie, Caroline Bernard, Colour Code, Donna Garner, Glen Strickey Quartet, John Connolly, Teresa Doyle, Cynthia MacLeod, Zack Squires, Collette Cheverie, Ross Family and to promote the Harbourfront Theatre, Confederation Centre of the Arts, CBC - Hockey Day in Canada and Gene MacLellan tribute and the Luminosity Black Light Theatre

Lorne looks forward to being able to continue working with the community of musicians and those who support them on PEI.

As part of the 2010 Music PEI Awards Week, the first Lynn Grishko Memorial Bursary was presented. The award is intended to assist the career of a female musician who is living and working on the Island and I am proud to be the sponsor.
