Coyote is a progressive pop-rock band hailing from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. With an explosive and energetic live show, the group produces a blend of up-tempo indie rock and unleashes a wall of sound decorated with whimsical lyrics and brave leads. Raised and bonding in rural Eastern PEI, Coyote was formed between lead vocalist and guitarist Josh Carter, bassist Evan McCosham, and brothers Bruce and Bradford Rooney on lead guitar and keys, respectively. Catalyzing the reaction that drives the pack however is drummer and mainlander Mike King of Springhill, Nova Scotia.

Over two years of performing, Coyote has grown to be a recognizable name in the indie rock music scene across the Maritimes. They are now supporting their debut EP, Tracks, recorded by ECMA nominated and Music PEI Award winning recording engineer Jon Matthews of Big Grey Sound Studio in Prince Edward Island. While receiving highly positive reviews for Tracks, Coyote has also received praise for their presence at live performances. Frequently crossing the Northumberland Strait, Coyote has spent much of 2012 gigging furiously at bars, halls, festivals and showcases delivering high energy performances and getting listeners caught up in the contagious feel good atmosphere surrounding the group that is evident on and off the stage. With performances at the ECMA Breakout Stage, Evolve Festival and Messtival, Coyote has grown a steady fan base across multiple provinces and have left many listeners wanting more. Not slowing down, Coyote is preparing for a further expansion into Québec and Ontario in the fall of 2012 with a stop en route at the Halifax Pop Explosion.
