Coyote is a 5-piece rock band from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island that play massive, jubilant pop songs loaded with the dynamic hooks and sharp keyboard lines that propel the soaring, emotional choruses of front-man Josh Carter. He is complimented by fellow musicians Bruce Rooney (lead guitar), Evan McCosham (bass), Bradford Rooney (synth/keys) and Mike King (drums). Their sophomore release, Proof of Life is set for release in September 2014.

Their debut EP, Tracks (2012), was recorded with accomplished island engineer Jon Matthews (The Sound Mill) and has earned the band four Music PEI Award nominations, including Album of the Year and New Artist of the Year. It is a catalog of material written over the span of the bandís earliest collaborations - starting with small ideas from before and during the conception of the group. After a handful of members came and went, the final roster came together just in time to begin tracking the album, and its successes bound the group.

Over four years of performing across the Maritimes, Coyote has become a recognizable name in the independent music scene in Atlantic Canada. Performing at events such as Harvest Jazz and Blues, East Coast Music Week, Canadian Music Week, NXNE, The Evolve Music and Awareness Festival and Halifax Pop Explosion, Coyote has gained a reputation for their dynamic and lively performance. At East Coast Music Week 2013 Coyote was awarded the first ever People's Choice Rising Star and performed on the Rising Star stage, one year after being selected as one of twelve artists for the first ever ECMA Breakout Stage mentorship program. They've shared the stage with artists such as Plants and Animals, Hey Rosetta!, Paper Lions, In-Flight Safety, and Library Voices.

Coyote has released their latest effort Proof of Life in September 2014. Produced and engineered at home in Prince Edward Island with Colin Buchanan (Paper Lions, North Lakes), the album will feature a charismatic sound that perfectly captures the robust live pop element of Coyote
