Deryl Gallant has been involved in the PEI music scene for over 30 years. From garage band beginnings to a classical degree in double bass, Deryl has become a sought after performing, touring, recording, and instructing bassist
Deryl has performed with many PEI musicians over the years and has tracked bass on more than 30 recordings in his career. In the past he was the classical bass professor at the University of PEI, as well will be one of the electric bass instructors at the Holland College School of Performing Arts.
In 2015 Deryl was awarded Musician of Year by Music PEI and has been selected by the PEI Jazz and blues festival as the 2015 "Doug Riley" artist.
