Rob Oakie

Executive Director

Rob is a co-founder and Executive Director of Music PEI. Rob’s lifelong passion has been music. Having spent over 30 years in the building business with the final 10 years selling building materials around the world, Rob was grateful and honoured to be named Music PEI’s first Executive Director in 2007. Rob has been credited with creating acclaimed world-class events like Showcase PEI and the Canadian Song Conference, garnering praise from industry professionals around the globe.

Rob still loves to dabble in carpentry and renovations, playing the mandolin on stage or with his buddies and spending time with family, especially cooking for them!

Andy Glydon

Program Officer

Andy serves as the Program Officer for Music PEI, dedicated to supporting the Island’s vibrant music scene. They work diligently to deliver workshops, administer funding programs, and provide opportunities for showcasing and export development.

When Andy isn’t at a live show, or busy organizing, curating, and volunteering, you can often find them at home. They love cooking, playing video games, reading, and watching a healthy mix of high-brow films and trash TV (balance is key) with their partner Hannah and their two cats, Simone and Judy!

Shannon Smith

Finance Manager

With an extensive background in finance and a passion for supporting the creative community, Shannon brings valuable expertise and leadership to help us continue driving the financial growth and sustainability of our organization.

The best way to find her when she’s not at the office is to follow the music! She loves experiencing live music and contributing in any way that she can to the music community. She also loves making band merch, crafting, gardening, hiking and time by the ocean and you can bet there’s a soundtrack on for all of it.
