Do you love music? Do you want to meet cool people from all over the world? Do you want to get paid to go to concerts featuring the best of Island musicians? Do you want to work with other like-minded folks in a safe and inclusive office environment? Music PEI is hiring!

2 positions are currently open to hire folks to help support one of our signature events, Showcase PEI, and to begin planning for the 2023 Music PEI Week. Showcase PEI is an annual event that provides opportunities for our local artists to get booked and blessed by some of the top talent buyers, festival programmers, and venue presenters from across North America, the UK, and beyond! Six concerts in 3 days, multiple venues across PEI, and did we mention cool people and great music? Ok, there’s administrative work too but we promise it’s not that bad!

These are Skills PEI funded positions, so there are eligibility requirements that must be met for you to qualify. Read below for more information:

Showcase PEI Contract (2 Positions Open)
Contract Length: Immediately – January 19th, 2023 (22 weeks)
Compensation: up to $595/week
Location: Music PEI Office (115 Richmond Street, Charlottetown, PE)

Music PEI is hiring 2 positions to assist with the delivery of Showcase PEI, which takes place from September 19th – 21st, 2022. Successful applicants will support Music PEI staff with event planning logistics, delegate coordination, book travel/ accommodations, work alongside the production team to coordinate multiple event concerts, collect information from artists, communicate soundcheck schedules, etc.The ideal candidates will have a connection to the music industry, be proficient in digital communication, sending and receiving emails, have strong organizational skills, be familiar with Google Workspace, and be available to work some evenings and weekends.

These positions are funded by Skills PEI through the Work Experience PEI Program and applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements.

Eligibility requirements:

  • You must be legally authorized to work in Canada (Canadian citizen or permanent resident);
  • You must have a current claim for Employment Insurance benefits; or
  • You must have a previous EI claim whose benefit period ended within the previous 60 months
