Johnny Oliver

The “Johnny Oliver Band” was formed in 2008. With over 20 years of experience, Johnny has composed over 200 original songs and 4 albums to date, but in January 2014 Johnny decided to revisit the studio again to start working on his 4th album with producer Nathan Wiley, and Engineer Greg Mountain.
In 2008, Johnny released his long overdue first album titled “The Reason”, and received two P.E.I. Music Nominations from this album for Male Vocalist and Country Recording of the year.
In 2009, Johnny released his second album “I’m Not Up For Sale”, and received a Nomination for Country Recording of the year. In addition, Moncton 96.9 featured “I’m Not Up For Sale” in a prelude to the first ever Cavendish Beach Music Festival performance, where Johnny appeared on the same bill, with Tim McGraw, Reba McIntyre, Big and Rich, and Aaron Lines. In 2010, “I’m Not Up For Sale” warranted Johnny another P.E.I. Music Nomination for Male Vocalist of the year. Johnny was the only returning P.E.I. Musician to perform at the Cavendish Beach Music Festival for the second year, again on the same bill as Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban, and Taylor Swift and many others. Moreover, Johnny has received radio airplay for both albums across the Maritimes.
The new look “Johnny Oliver Band” formed in early Janusry 2014 is a four-piece Country/Rock band which features Johnny Oliver as Lead Vocalist and Rhythm Guitarist; Lisle Clarke on Bass Guitar & Vocals; Marcel Arsenault on Lead Guitar, & Vocals; and Yves Arsenault on drums.
The “Johnny Oliver Band” has many influences. Johnny's shows consist with some Hard-Driving Country/Rock to smooth tender ballads. Johnny’s performance will sure to please, when he lights the stage up with some hard driving country-rock classic covers, such as Matt Minglewood’s “The Drinker” and Stevie Ray Vaughn’s “The House is Rockin’”. With this diversity, the audience is never bored.
With the release of Johnny’s third album “She's Gonna Love Me”, in 2012 and his fourth album in 2014, Johnny has been busy promoting his original music. Keep an eye out in 2017 for Johnny and his band coming to a city near you.
